WELCOME TO OUR BLOG WHERE WE PEN DOWN OUR - MUSINGS RESOURCES AND MEMORIES
Will AI Replace Me?
What can AI never replace? Things that take physical time. Plants that take time to grow. Soil that takes time to generate. Animals that take time to grow. So let's invest in our relationship with nature.
What can be replaced but may take time? To replace People with duality of nature and complexity of experiences. Empathy being driven by hormones, by love, by higher ideals than beyond efficiency. Our grandfathers and how they told us stories of lands far and wide and how that made us feel. My fondness for Gariahat homes I grew up in, and therefore my sensitivity towards objects of the east. My relationship with nature informed by my animist retreats and love for my dog.
So where does design fit into all this?
Only we can design for this future which supports and validates human feelings. Tribal feeling of belonging, human need for nature and health, human need for validation and love.
I don't think that the future will allow retrofitting human needs to suit capitalist needs. The manipulation of media is short lived, as we find ourselves with more access to real information about things that are truly good for us, outside the walls of bias, ironically enabled by AI. Is this idealistic, maybe, but our ideals shape our future.
